History/Description:
The Missouri Conservation Department obtained
Little
Dixie in 1957, and then dammed Owl Creek to create Little Dixie Lake.
This scenic area stretches over 623 acres, has 22 ponds, and is home to
several kinds of wildlife, including eagles, deer, turkey, and many
varieties of fish
Whether alone or with a family, Little Dixie offers activities for
everyone.
Location:
west of Kingdom City
Activities:
fishing, rowboats, hiking, nature trails, mature study,
picnicking, frogging, and hunting. Some restrictions apply pertaining
fishing and hunting.
Services:
handicapped accessible fishing jetty

4:00a.m. to 10:00p.m.
